Three students injured as TGSRTC bus rams auto-rickshaw in Mancherial

Three students of a model school in Kotapalli sustained minor injuries when a TGSRTC bus collided with an auto-rickshaw near Mulkalaipet in Mancherial district.

Mancherial: Three students from a model school sustained injuries when a TGSRTC bus hit an auto-rickshaw between Mulkaplapet and Vemananapalli on Thursday.

Police said that three students of a model school in Kotapalli received minor injuries after the bus hit the three-wheeler. They were immediately shifted to a hospital in Chennur town. Six students from Supaka village were on their way to the school when the mishap took place at around 8 am.

Meanwhile, parents expressed concern over the safety of children commuting to schools located away from their villages every day. They regretted that they were forced to rely on private vehicles following the lack of a sufficient public transport system, not only shelling out huge amounts, but also risking the lives of their children.

They urged the officials to take steps to check overspeeding and violation of road safety norms by conducting inspections.
