Medak: In a tragic incident, three teenagers died in a road accident at Chegunta Mandal headquarters in Medak in the early hours of Monday. The victims were Palle Rakesh (21), his younger brother Palle Pradeep (17) and Pandla Aravind (15), all the three are residents of Uulli Timmaipally.

According to Chegunta Police, Rakesh was taking Pradeep and Aravind , who were studying Xth and XIth classes respectively in ZPHS Chegunta, to school on Monday morning on his two-wheeler when a goods lorry coming out of Jeevika Industries Limited hit the bike. The death was instant Rakesh while Pradeep and Aravind died on their way to hospital. A pall of gloom descended on the village as three youngsters died on the same day.

Palle Chandrakala, mother of Rakesh and Pradeeh, was inconsolable, as she lost her two children in the incident. As her husband died a few years ago, she was taking care of her two sons by working in a local industry. As Aravind’s father also died a few years ago, his mother Pentamma used to do farming to support her son’s education. The villagers of Uulli Thimmaipally have staged a protest demanding action against the industry management. The kin and villagers have demanded exgratia to the family members of three youngsters. The bodies have been shifted to Area Hospital Medak for postmortem.
