Kadapa: A freak incident, a herd of wandering elephants attacked a group of devotees on their way to a shiva temple leading to death of three persons and serious injuries to two, in Gundalakona village in Obulavaripalle mandal of Annammaiah district here on Tuesday morning.
Reports said the victims hailed from Y Kota village. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital where their condition is stated to be critical. Movement of wild elephants has been reported in this locality for sometime. More details are awaited.
