Three-year-old boy dies after dog bite in Jagtial, anti-rabies vaccine reportedly not given

A three-year-old boy, Indrala Rakshith, died in Jagtial after being attacked by dogs and falling into a drainage. Despite hospital treatment, he reportedly did not receive the anti-rabies vaccine. He later died at Niloufer Hospital, Hyderabad.

Jagtial: A three-year-old boy, Indrala Rakshith, died of dog bites in Thungur village of Birpur mandal.

According to villagers, Rakshith was attacked by a group of dogs a few weeks ago. He later fell into a drainage and sustained injuries. Though admitted to hospital and given treatment for his wounds, he was reportedly not administered the anti-rabies vaccine.

Four days ago, when the rains began, he began foaming at the mouth. His family shifted him to Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad, where he died while undergoing treatment.
