RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: In a disturbing incident, a three-year-old boy was allegedly thrashed by an Anganwadi teacher in Venkatapur of Yellareddypet mandal on Tuesday, leaving him with a swollen eye and other injuries.
According to the parents, the boy, Vidwan, was beaten by Anganwadi teacher Rani without any provocation. He sustained injuries to his right eye, hands and legs. The boy’s father, Kompalli Vijay Kumar, alleged that teacher Rani, who discriminates against members of the SC community, assaulted his son without any reason. He said the family had gone to another village on Tuesday and returned home around 8 pm.
They noticed swelling on the child’s right eye and other parts of his body after returning home at night. The parents lodged a complaint with the police on Wednesday.
