Three-year-old girl dies after falling into water sump in Mokila

A three-year-old girl, Priyansha, died after allegedly falling into a water sump near her house in Janwada village of Mokila on Sunday. Family members and local residents searched for the missing child before neighbours found her drowned in the sump.

Hyderabad: A three-year-old girl died after allegedly falling into a water sump near her house at Janwada in Mokila on Sunday.

According to the police, the girl, identified as Priyansha, lived with her parents in Janwada village. On Sunday morning, she went out of the house to play. When she was not seen for some time, her father, K. Shekhar, began searching for her.


As the news spread, local residents also joined the search efforts to trace the girl. After some time, neighbours checked the water sump in front of the house and found the girl drowned. They pulled out the body and shifted her to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

The police registered a case and started an investigation.
