Hyderabad: Three youngsters were killed in separate accidents in the city since Wednesday.

In one accident, Mohammed Altaf Ahmed (14) and Shoaib (20), both students and residents of Old Malakpet, were run over by an RTC bus near Sohail Hotel late on Wednesday night while returning home on their motorbike after attending a marriage-related ceremony.

“The marriage of Ahmed’s sister was scheduled for Friday, and the friends had gone to a ceremony related to the wedding. When they were returning, an RTC bus hit their bike,” the Chaderghat police said, adding that the bus driver was taken into custody. The bodies were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary and later handed over to the families after autopsy.

In another accident, an Air Force official died and his friend was injured after the motorcycle they were riding on crashed into the newly built roundabout at Narsingi on Wednesday. The victim, Vicky Kumar (25), a native of Bihar, was working at the Air Force Station in Begumpet while his injured friend was Isha Bhatt (25) of Delhi who was working for a software firm in the city and residing at Gandipet.

According to the police, the incident occurred when the two were proceeding from Gandipet towards Gachibowli along with other friends. When they reached near ‘My Home Avatar’, Vicky, who was allegedly driving fast, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the roundabout. Both fell off the bike on the road. Vicky died while being shifted to the hospital while Isha is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Gachibowli.
