Hyderabad: Three young BRS supporters from Manthani completed a five-day padayatra to reach party president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s residence at Erravelli on Sunday, expressing their wish to see him return as Telangana Chief Minister. Chandrashekhar Rao welcomed the young party workers, interacted with them for some time and thanked them for their affection and support.
The youths, Manthani Bennipal, Boorla Venkatesh and Konda Venkatesh, said Telangana’s development would regain momentum only if Chandrashekhar Rao returned to power. They hoped that employment and livelihood opportunities for the State’s youth would improve under his leadership.
During their march from Manthani, the youths said they had interacted with people who were disappointed with the Congress government, alleging that it had failed to fulfil public expectations and was acting contrary to its promises.
They also said people were recalling the welfare and development initiatives undertaken during the former Chief Minister’s tenure and realising what they had lost by trusting the Congress’s assurances. They expressed confidence that people across Telangana, including Manthani, would bring Chandrashekhar Rao back as Chief Minister in the next elections.
