Hyderabad: Timely action of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) helped a man save Rs. 1,10,70,000 that was fraudulently withdrawn from his bank account.

On December 10, the victim made a complaint to 1930 call centre and informed that an amount of Rs. 1.90 crore was debited from his bank account. Basing on information, TGCSB teams swung into action and informed officials concerned of different banks where the money was transferred to put the transactions on hold.

The officials of two different banks put the transactions of Rs.1.10 crore on hold and informed the TGCSB about it. However, an amount of 79.30 lakh was withdrawn or further transferred to different account and the officials are making efforts to recover it.

Interestingly, the man did not receive calls nor shared OTP with anyone, nor did he click on any suspicious links received on email or phone.
