Sangareddy: MLA Patancheru Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the development of Timmakka Cheruvu located near Patancheru. The tank will be developed at a cost of Rs 2 crore.
To protect the tank from encroachments, the MLA said the government had already put up fencing at a cost of Rs 30 lakhs. A walking track would be laid around the tank at a cost of Rs 40 lakhs, he said, adding that it will be developed into a popular recreation spot. Besides a park, lighting will also be taken up along the bund at a cost of over Rs 1.30 crore, the MLA said adding that they will also place seating facilities all along the bund.
Stating that they have already taken up the development works of Saki Cheruvu located close to the town, Reddy said that these tanks will become a most sought-after recreation spot for the citizens of Patancheru. Earlier, Reddy has distributed Kalyna Lakhsmi and Shadi Mubarak Cheques to 55 beneficiaries from his Constituency. The MLA has also participated in a couple of TRS Party Mandal-wise extended committee meetings on Saturday ahead of TRS Party Vijay Garjana meeting.
