Adilabad: Tiryani police did a good samaritan act for a daily wage earner by providing him an artificial Jaipur limb with the help of a voluntary organization in Tiryani mandal centre on Wednesday. It was their second such gesture taken up this month.

Sub-Inspector P Rama Rao took special interest and arranged the limb for Kudimetha Kishtu, a tribal daily wager from Gadalapalli village in Tiryani mandal, who lost his left leg due to some infection in 2019.  He said that he could provide the limb to Kishtu through IAS officer P Narahari of Alaya Foundation, a Godavarikhani-based NGO.

Kishtu developed some lumps on his legs. He, however, did not undergo treatment and relied on traditional medicines. Consequently, doctors had to amputate his leg, and he was leading a pathetic life. Moved by his plight, Tiryani cops came forward to arrange the limb. They approached Narahari who in turn readily extended the support.

On December 3, Tiryani police fulfilled their promise made to Kova Laxmi, a female sibling of former squad commander of a banned Maoist party Athram Sobhan alias Charles by providing artificial limb with the help of Alaya Foundation.
