Hyderabad: Industry body Telangana Information Technology Association has initiated a fresh membership drive. The association announced in its Governing Council notification Tuesday that the term of TITA Global Working Committee (GWC) 2020 ends December 31 and new members can join the committee for the next term.

Those are working in the IT industry, corporates, NRIs, students, IT faculties, IT affiliated industry professionals, government staff working in the IT field, startups can become members.

The tech association has 17,000+ members. Interested can apply for membership through the link bit.ly/joinTITA while those who want to send their nominations for the new committee can email to telanganait@gmail.com.

TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala said the association, which was set up during the movement for a separate Telangana, has taken initiatives like village adoption for digital literacy, encouraging cashless transactions through digitisation, rollout of Digithon, connecting Government school students with IT industry with Digital Yatra and supporting innovation by creation of innovation cells in academia etc.

Makthala said several chapters have been established in India and worldwide. It is now looking for new members to take the association to the next level, a release said.
