Hyderabad: Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) which has been entrusted to carry out the seventh economic survey in Telangana is looking to provide employment opportunities to youth with computer literacy. The association will deploy enumerators to carry out the survey and has set a target to reach one million households in Hyderabad as part of the exercise. TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Common Services Centres (CSC) Vice-President and Telangana & AP head Raja Kishore unveiled the poster for one million surveys and launched the survey accordingly.

The association has tied up with CSC to carry out the seventh economic survey initiated by the Central Government in the GHMC limits and will reach one million households for data collection. For the first time, the economic survey will be carried out in digital format through a mobile application.

About 5,000 youth will be employed by Digithon, the digital entity of TITA to carry out the survey in association with the CSC. The month-long survey will see volunteers reaching out to 10 lakh households to collect relevant data in the GHMC area. About 573 investigator units will be formed and every unit will have 10 volunteers.

Individuals having an SSC qualification and owning a smartphone are eligible to be part of the drive. Those interested to work as enumerators should register themselves at bit.ly/censussurvey and need to take a basic test. Those qualifying the test will be provided ID cards and relevant documents. The enumerators will also get the opportunity to take part in future digital surveys.
