Mancherial: Large quantities of banned tobacco products were seized when police raided a warehouse of a trader here on Sunday.
Mancherial Assistant Commissioner of Police Akhil Mahajan said that the police led by Mancherial Inspector Mutti Lingaiah had seized prohibited tobacco products worth Rs 2.90 lakh at a warehouse belonging to Aditya Enterprises of the district headquarters, following a tip off.
The IPS officer warned that stern action would be taken against those who trade banned products. He said that certain persons were indulging in the offence even in the wake of resurgent second wave of Covid-19. He added that products might contribute to the spread of the dreaded virus.
