Mancherial: The Macherial police on Saturday seized banned tobacco products worth Rs 5.05 lakh after conducting a raid on the hideout of a smuggler in the district.
Task Force Inspector AK Mahender and Mandamarri Sub-Inspector Bhumesh said that Pindi Suresh, a trader of Mandamarri town, was found to be storing the banned products at his hideout.
Upon credible information, they conducted a raid and seized the product which were handed over to the Mandamarri police for further action. However, Suresh is absconding.
