Tollywood actor Supreeth Reddy booked over assault allegations in Nagaram
Telugu actor Supreeth Reddy has been booked by Keesara police following allegations that he assaulted a cab driver during a dispute over roadside parking in Nagaram. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation based on a complaint filed by the driver.
Hyderabad: Telugu actor Supreeth Reddy has been booked by the Keesara police following allegations that he assaulted a cab driver during a dispute over roadside parking in Nagaram.
According to the police, cab driver Srihari had parked his vehicle near the Sai Baba Temple after dropping passengers in Kundanpally and was waiting for his next booking. Supreeth Reddy, who arrived in a Toyota Fortuner, allegedly objected to the cab being parked on the roadside, claiming that it was obstructing traffic.
The argument reportedly escalated, with the actor allegedly abusing and physically assaulting the driver, causing a commotion in the area.
Srihari then called the police and later lodged a formal complaint at the Keesara police station.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the actor and launched an investigation.
Officials said statements would be recorded and further action would be taken after examining the facts.
Supreeth Reddy, who is known for his roles, including that of Katraj in the Prabhas-starrer ‘Chatrapathi’, has not yet responded publicly to the allegations.
