Too much work: Sanitation workers protest in IDA Bollaram

Sangareddy: Citing heavy work burden, sanitation workers staged a protest in IDA Bollaram municipality a day after a sanitation worker, Narasimha, died in the municipality.
Narasimha, 35, died after he was stuck in a manhole in the municipality on Monday. The rest of the workers staged a protest on Tuesday, demanding Rs.20 lakh as compensation for Narasimha’s family. The workers further alleged that there were just 50 workers engaged by the municipality against the requirement of 150 workers. They raised slogans against the Commissioner.
