TP-JAC condemns alleged remarks by Technical Education Commissioner

The Telangana Polytechnic Joint Action Committee condemned alleged derogatory remarks by Technical Education Commissioner A Sridevasena during a meeting on GO 97. The committee, which opposes the merger of polytechnics with YISU, continued its protest and demanded withdrawal of the order.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Polytechnic Joint Action Committee (TP-JAC), which is spreading protest against the government’s decision to merge polytechnics with the Young India Skills University (YISU), condemned alleged ‘derogatory remarks’ made by Technical Education Department Commissioner A Sridevasena against committee members.

In a statement, TP-JAC said the committee members on Tuesday met the Technical Education Commissioner to hold a comprehensive discussion on GO 97 that merges polytechnics with the YISU and points raised by the Chief Minister in the Assembly concerning the merger.

According to the TP-JAC, the Commissioner behaved rudely and made derogatory remarks against the committee members during the meeting. Meanwhile, the TP-JAC continued with its protest, demanding the government revoke GO 97.
