Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B Mahesh Kumar Goud took a strong objection to Jadcherla MLA J Anirudh Reddy’s comments that covert operatives allegedly operated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu were operating in Telangana.
“We are seriously looking into Anirudh Reddy’s comments. No one should cross the party’s disciplinary line” Mahesh Kumar Goud said here on Thursday.
Addressing media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, the TPCC president said there could be covert operatives in every party. Before making any comments, there should be strong evidence to support the charges, he maintained. “When it comes to discipline, there will be no relaxation to anybody in the party,” Mahesh Kumar Goud warned.
On the issue of unrest among different community wings within the party for failing to secure cabinet berths for their leaders, the TPCC president claimed that the Congress party was known for delivering social justice.
Already, the ST community had been offered the Deputy Speaker post. Likewise, there was a discussion with government whip Aadi Srinivas, who hails from the BC community. The party was carefully examining the profiles of those who failed to get opportunities, he added.
