TPCC files complaint against BRS leaders over MCC violations in Hyderabad

The Congress filed a complaint with Chief Electoral Officer against BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha and other leaders for alleged Model Code of Conduct violations, including holding a press conference on poll day and the presence of non-local leaders in the constituency

Hyderabad: The Congress on Tuesday lodged a complaint with Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudarshan Reddy against BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha and other BRS leaders alleging violations of Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

Finding fault with Sunitha for holding a press conference on poll day, TPCC Election Coordination Committee filed a complaint against her with the CEO.

It also raised objection over the presence of non-local BRS leaders in the constituency. Committee chairman P Rajesh Kumar lodged a complaint against former MLAs Korukanti Chandar and Dasyam Vinay Kumar stating that they were non-locals in the constituency and were disturbing peaceful conduct of the by-election.
