Hyderabad: The Congress on Tuesday lodged a complaint with Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C Sudarshan Reddy against BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha and other BRS leaders alleging violations of Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
Finding fault with Sunitha for holding a press conference on poll day, TPCC Election Coordination Committee filed a complaint against her with the CEO.
It also raised objection over the presence of non-local BRS leaders in the constituency. Committee chairman P Rajesh Kumar lodged a complaint against former MLAs Korukanti Chandar and Dasyam Vinay Kumar stating that they were non-locals in the constituency and were disturbing peaceful conduct of the by-election.
