TPCC meeting: Leaders complain against turncoats

Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud’s maiden meeting with leaders from different districts to discuss different issues saw many complaining about priority being accorded to leaders from other parties, who joined the Congress post the elections.
This apart, a few leaders also complained that officials were not considering their proposals in taking up different works in respective areas. The TPCC president along with AICC Telangana incharge Deepadas Munshi, AICC incharge P Vishwanathan and others conducted a meeting with district leaders at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday.
Apart from elected public representatives and senior leaders from erstwhile Warangal, Karimnagar and Nizamabad attended the meeting. It was organized to discuss measures for strengthening the party at village level, besides preparations for the ensuing local bodies’ elections and other issues. However, a few leaders lamented that they were not being given priority at official programmes and were being sidelined. A few others complained that officials at field level were not considering their proposals for taking up different development works in respective areas.
It is learnt that the TPCC president assured the leaders that the issues would be taken up with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy during the CLP meeting scheduled in the city on Sunday.
