Karimnagar: The ruling Congress party is witnessing a surge in the number of its leaders coming out openly against the State leadership and the government, with the latest being Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) member Pathi Krishna Reddy in Karimnagar.
A video released by Krishna Reddy went viral among party circles, in which the Congress leader, who hails from Jammikunta, is seen expressing his displeasure over the situation of the party in Huzurabad constituency.
Stating that the party was reduced to literally zero due to the attitude of its leadership, he said party leaders were scared to contest in the next local body elections.
They were in the grip of fear that they would lose the elections even if they spent money. Who would claim responsibility if the Congress candidate, who worked for the party, was defeated in the poll, he asks, going to point fingers at the failure of the government and the State leadership to maintain the confidence of the public.
