Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his residence here on Monday and discussed the 42 per cent BC reservations issue along with other organisational matters.
During the hour-and-a-half meeting, the two leaders also reviewed preparations for the forthcoming local body elections.
With the 42 per cent BC reservations turning into a contentious issue for the Congress, Mahesh Kumar Goud said the party’s Political Affairs Committee meeting would be held on August 16 or 17 to deliberate on the matter. “Based on the majority leaders’ suggestions, the party will take a decision,” he said.
“We have also decided to fill up the Corporation, Board and other nominated posts at the earliest,” Mahesh Kumar Goud added.
