Hyderabad: The Telangana State unit of Congress party wants Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to be back as chief of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said a formal appeal would be made to Rahul Gandhi to accept the AICC president’s post. On behalf of CLP, a representation would also be submitted to Rahul Gandhi in this regard, he said
Rahul Gandhi has got a vision and patience for nation’s development and his Padayatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari has instilled a new confidence among people, said Vikramarka while addressing media persons here on Saturday.
The State unit of Congress party organised different programmes to celebrate the 51st birthday of Rahul Gandhi on Saturday. TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy inaugurated a Covid vaccination camp at Gandhi Bhavan.
As per the instructions of AICC, the celebrations were organised without much fanfare, he said.
