Hyderabad: Technical & Professional Institutes Employees Association, Telangana State (TPIEA-TS) on Friday requested Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to consider the staff of technical and professional institutions and universities as Covid frontline warriors and schedule a special drive of the vaccination at respective institutions.
In a representation, TPIEA-TS, president V Balakrishna Reddy said the universities, particularly JNTU-H, Osmania University and Kakatiya University were planning to conduct external examinations for various courses immediately after the relaxation of the lockdown.
Also, a major responsibility of conducting the Common Entrance Tests like TS Eamcet, TS ECET, TS ICET and TS PGECET lies with these universities, he said adding that, along with the infrastructure, staff of technical and professional colleges are utilised in conducting the examinations.
