Hyderabad: Tanishq Goud of South Central Railway (SCR) bagged the gold in the 1km event of the 58th All India Railway Championship of Track Cycling at the Osmania University cycling velodrome, Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Earlier, J K Jain, principal chief mechanical engineer SCR, president of South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA) inaugurated the event. Speaking on the occasion he said, “SCR stated that Cycling is the sport which will keep our body and mind fit”.
“Sincerity and hard work will pave the way to reach highest recognition in the game and advised the participants to use the facilities provided and perform well in the tournament and excel in National and International events”, he added.
