Tractor driver dies as vehicle overturns while fleeing police in Karimnagar
A tractor driver died after his vehicle overturned while allegedly trying to escape police in Karimnagar district. The driver was transporting illegal sand when the incident occurred. Police said he lost control after entering paddy fields and hit a stone.
Karimnagar: In an attempt to escape the police, a tractor driver Gunnala Harish died when the vehicle overturned on the outskirts of Durshad of Karimnagar rural mandal on Monday early morning.
Harish was illegally carrying sand from Gollapalli. After noticing the police on the outskirts of Durshedu, he turned off the lights of the tractor and turned the vehicle into roadside paddy fields.
However, the vehicle overturned after hitting a stone. Harish died on the spot as the tractor fell on him. Police began investigation by registering the case.
