Traffic diversions announced for Saidabad elevated corridor works

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced diversions and road closures from Sunday until July 1 for the construction of the Saidabad elevated corridor. Commuters have been advised to avoid the Nalgonda X Road–DMRL Junction stretch and use designated alternative routes.

Hyderabad: In view of the commencement of the Comprehensive Development of the Elevated Corridor project from Saidabad Junction to Yadagiri Theatre (LHS), the traffic police have announced major traffic diversions and alternative routes to ease congestion and ensure smooth flow of vehicles.

The traffic restrictions will be in force from Sunday to July 1, 2026, during the construction period.


The stretch between Saidabad Y Junction and Yadagiri Theatre (one side) will remain closed for vehicular movement during the execution of the elevated corridor works. The traffic police have also cautioned commuters to avoid the busy corridor from Nalgonda X Road to Owaisi Hospital (DMRL Junction) due to expected heavy congestion on adjoining roads.

The traffic police have issued detailed diversion routes for different categories of vehicles:

Four-wheelers, RTC buses, and heavy goods vehicles – Traffic from Nalgonda X Road towards Saidabad Y Junction, heading towards Santosh Nagar and IS Sadan, will be diverted via Saidabad Y Junction, DCP South East Zone Office, Saidabad Law & Order Police Station, Saraswathi Nagar Kaman, Sankeshwar Bazar, Indian Petrol Bunk, Singareni Colony, Onus Robotic Hospital (Champapet), Champapet Main Road, Laxma Reddy Garden, and finally towards DMRL Rotary.

Two- and three-wheelers coming from Chanchalguda towards Saidabad Y Junction and further to IS Sadan will be diverted via Saidabad Law & Order Police Station, 105 Bus Stop, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar, Dhobi Ghat Factory, Dhobi Ghat Junction, and IS Sadan Main Road.

Similarly, two- and three-wheelers moving from Chanchalguda towards Champapet will be diverted through Saidabad Law & Order PS, 105 Bus Stop, Ramalayam Kaman, Laxmi Nagar, Vinay Nagar, Bharath Garden, Champapet Main Road, and Laxma Reddy Garden towards DMRL Rotary.

RTC buses and heavy vehicles from Chaderghat towards IS Sadan and Champapet will be diverted at Nalgonda X Road via Malakpet Gunj, Moosarambagh X Road, Gaddiannaram U-Turn, Gaddiannaram X Road, Shiva Ganga Theatre, Hanifiya Mosque (Saroornagar Lake), Indian Oil Petrol Bunk, Singareni Colony, Onus Hospital, and Champapet Main Road.

Traffic police have urged the general public to cooperate with the diversions and plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes and follow traffic personnel’s instructions at all junctions.
