Hyderabad: Due to heavy rains caused by cyclone Montha, train services continued to remain disrupted on Wednesday. According to the South Central Railway (SCR), train operations were affected due to severe waterlogging at Dornakal Yard.
The SCR has cancelled, partially cancelled, and diverted several services to ensure passenger safety.
The trains that were fully cancelled on Wednesday included Train No. 67768 – Vijayawada to Dornakal, Train No. 67766 – Dornakal to Kazipet, Train No. 12748 – Vikarabad to Guntur, Train No. 07001 – Charlapalli to Tirupati, and Train No. 07251 – Charlapalli to Tiruchanur. Two services, Train No. 07252 – Tiruchanur to Charlapalli and Train No. 07002 – Tirupati to Charlapalli, have been cancelled for Thursday.
The partially cancelled services are Train No. 67215 – Vijayawada to Bhadrachalam and Train No. 17034 – Sirpur Town to Bhadrachalam.
SCR officials have advised passengers to check real-time updates through official communication channels and plan their travel accordingly. Restoration work is in progress, and train services will resume once track conditions improve, they said.
