Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a two-day training session for the law and order wing field officers on the ‘Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD)’ application at the Traffic Training Institute in Goshamahal.
The training held on Wednesday and Thursday was attended by 160 field officers including 47 Sub-Inspectors and 113 constables.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar said that in order to accurately identify the accident spots in Hyderabad and for further taking corrective steps, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has decided to develop a database of Road Accident Spots in India under Project ‘iRAD’ with an aim to improve the road safety in the country.
“For a smooth implementation of the project at the ground level and updating of road accident data in iRAD application, the police personnel working on the field level are being trained,” the commissioner said.
