Transmission Corporation of Telangana amends retirement age
The orders will come into force from March 30, 2021. It made the amendment to the standing order number 46 of Chapter XIV of the "Standing Orders, Service Rules and Regulations for Artisans".
Hyderabad: Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited has made an amendment to its standing order stipulating that the age of retirement should be 61 years from the afternoon of the last day of the month in which an artisan completes 61 years.
The orders will come into force from March 30, 2021. It made the amendment to the standing order number 46 of Chapter XIV of the “Standing Orders, Service Rules and Regulations for Artisans”.
The Energy Department had earlier given the approval to adopt the Telangana Public Employment (Regulation of Age of Superannuation) Act, 1984 as amended by the Telangana Act. No.03 of 2021 enhancing the age of superannuation from 58/60 years to 61 years in respect of all employees of TS Transco with effect from March 30, 2021, according to Transco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao in an order.
Two new clauses were also incorporated under leave rules wherein the artisans were eligible for 15 days casual leave in a calendar year. They are also eligible for medical/disability leave as per the provisions of the Employee Compensation Act 1923.
A standing order numbered 54(A) was incorporated to grant paternity leave to male artisans for 15 days.
In a separate order, he said the artisans who retired after March 30 should report for duty within two days from the date of issuance of these orders for issuing reposting orders. The period of absence from the date of re-induction to the date of reporting would be treated as compulsory wait.
The artisans, who are re-inducted into service, would be eligible for all the service benefits including seniority as entitled hitherto. The artisans who retired after March 30 and jad drawn terminal benefits should remit the same to the corporation before re-induction into service.
Any delay in remittance of such amounts of terminal benefits should attract interest at the rate of nine per cent per annum till date of remittance thereof.
The period of absence of the artisans who have retired after March 30 to the date of their re-induction into service should be treated as “On duty” and they shall be entitled for all service benefits thereof. Non-reporting for duty within the time limit will entail the artisans concerned to apply for leave to which he/she is eligible.
221 Assistant Engineers promoted
The TS-Genco has temporarily promoted 221 Assistant Engineers (Electrical) and 40 Additional Engineers (Electrical) as Assistant Divisional Engineers (Electrical) with effect from the date of assumption of charge.
As many as 131 Assistant Engineers of various disciplines and 13 Additional Engineers (Mechanical) were also promoted as Assistant Divisional Engineers. The promotion order is purely temporary and is liable for termination at any time without notice and without assigning any reasons thereto, officials said.
