Khammam: Deceased police constable Bhukya Sagar’s father B Kishan lodged a complaint with Enkoor police in the district with regard to Sagar’s death by suicide.

He alleged that the Sub-Inspectors of Police, Santhosh and Raj Kumar, task force CI Satyanarayana and an individual Gonela Nani trapped his son and booked him in a ganja case when Sagar was working at Burgampahad police station.

Because of the above persons Sagar was suspended from services and was compelled to end his life by consuming pesticide. The above four also made casteist remarks against Sagar and threatened to kill him if he failed to confess his role in the ganja case, Kishan noted.

In Kothagudem, Sevalal Sena leaders, who gave a call for laying a siege to the SP office on Monday, withdrew the call; called on SP, B Rohith Raju and submitted a petition demanding that those responsible for the death of Sagar should be punished severely.

Sevalal Sena national working president Islawat Laxman Naik demanded that Rs 50 lakh ex-gratia should be given to Sagar’s family besides a group-2 job to his wife and free education to his children.
The officers who were mentioned in Sagar’s statement should be booked under the provisions of SC/ ST (Atrocities Prevention) Act and PD Act, he said.
