Visakhapatnam: Maoists killed a tribal in the district on Monday suspecting him to be a police informer.

The incident occurred in Vakapalli village of G. Madugula mandal in the agency area, a few hours after police gunned down two Maoists on the Andhra-Odisha Border area.

After murdering the tribal Gemmeli Krishna Rao, Maoists left a letter at the spot which said people were acting as police informers and depriving Adivasis of their rights.

According to Krishna Rao’s wife, her husband was dragged out from home in the morning and killed. The couple has three young children.
