Tribal man beaten to death on suspicion of black magic in Kothagudem

A 33-year-old tribal man, Madagam Beeda alias Raju, was beaten to death by villagers in Bhusarayi, Allapalli mandal, on suspicion of practising black magic. The attack followed the recent death of a local woman. Police have begun an investigation

Kothagudem: A tribal man was beaten to death by locals at Bhusarayi, a Guthikoya hamlet in Allapalli mandal, on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Madagam Beeda alias Raju (33), was allegedly attacked by villagers who suspected him of practising black magic. The suspicion arose after a woman from the hamlet died two days ago, which the locals believed was caused by Raju’s alleged black magic.


Police have visited the village, registered a case, and launched an investigation into the incident
