Hyderabad: TRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao found fault with the allegations being made by former Minister Eatala Rajender against TRS and its leadership ever since he joined BJP recently. He advised the latter to self-introspect as to what TRS had given to him and come out open to explain what sort of injustice was done to him in the party.

In an informal interaction with the mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, the TRS working president stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao would not order for a probe against a Cabinet Minister in response to a random complaint without obtaining primary evidence. “Rajender is just deceiving himself by making allegations against TRS. He is making baseless allegations,” he said. He stated that TRS was strong in Huzurabad constituency even before Rajender joined the party and will remain strong even after him quitting it.

Rama Rao wondered as to why did Rajender continue in the State Cabinet if there was a gap between himself and the Chief Minister for over past five years. He pointed out that the Chief Minister did not take any action against the former Minister despite the latter criticising the State Cabinet decisions in public. “Despite being a Minister, he found fault with the decisions taken by the State Cabinet in public instead of expressing his disagreement with the decisions within the Cabinet,” he said.

Further, the Minister explained that he personally made all efforts to retain Rajender within the party-fold till last minute, but gave up after Rajender publicly announced that he would not meet the Chief Minister at all. He pointed out that the BJP leader had admitted to all his mistakes and rubbished the argument that it could gain the latter sympathy in upcoming Huzurabad bypolls.
