Karimnagar: TRS social media activist Nampalli Jagan was attacked by three youths in Bornapalli of Huzurabad mandal in the early hours of Monday. The exact reason for the attack has not been ascertained, but he was thrashed badly.
According to villagers, the youths, Nampalli Suman, Agraka Raju and Rajender, carrying a knife went to Jagan’s house at around 2 am while the latter was asleep and thrashed him severely.
The accused left from the spot when family members resisted them. The family subsequently shifted Jagan to MGM hospital, Warangal, where he is undergoing treatment. Based on a complaint lodged by the family members, police registered a case and began investigations into the incident. The three accused have been taken into custody, source said.
