TRS activists lay siege to National Highways
Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy led a rally of 2,000 tractors that started from Tekumatla and culminated at Jangaon crossroads on National Highway 65.

Nalgonda: The Bharat bandh called by various farmers’ organisations demanding withdrawal of three anti-farm laws by the Centre was complete and peaceful in erstwhile Nalgonda district.

Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy led a rally of 2,000 tractors that started from Tekumatla and culminated at Jangaon crossroads on National Highway 65. TRS activists also took bike rallies in several parts of the district.Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy participated in a protest at Jangon crossroad on the outskirts of Suryapet.


Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said that the three new farm laws, which were brought by the Centre, would create food scarcity in the country. Minimum Support Price (MSP), which was achieved by the farmers through prolonged struggle, was also removed in the new farm laws. He urged the Centre to withdraw three new farm laws, which would send the agricultural sector into crisis in the country.

TRSRTC buses were confined to seven depots with members of Left parties staging dharna in front of main gate of bus depots at Nalgonda, Devarakonda, Miryalaguda, Narketpally, Suryapet, Kodad and Yadagirigutta in erstwhile Nalgonda district.

Activists of TRS and Left parties staged sit-in at the main gates of bus depots. All bus stations in erstwhile Nalgonda district wore deserted look as buses were confined to depots.

TRS activists laid siege to National Highway 65 and National Highway 163 in support of farmers protest against Central government’s Farm laws across the erstwhile Nalgonda district as part of Bharath Bandh.

The TRS members blocked National Highway 65 at Narketpally, Suryapet, G Tirumalgiri and Ramapuram.
