Khammam: After twenty years of its formation, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has emerged as an unparalleled political force in the State, the party Lok Sabha floor leader, MP, Nama Nageswara Rao said on Tuesday.
He said the party which fought for Telangana statehood has gained power with the support of the people. The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has successfully been ruling the State for the past seven years achieving all round development.
Nageswara Rao addressed a gathering of TRS workers and leaders at Wyra MLA camp office where a preparatory meeting was held on Tuesday in view of the party’s plenary to be held in Hyderabad on Oct 25 and a public meeting in Warangal.
The MP said no other State in the country was implementing the welfare and development programmes which the TRS government was implementing in Telangana. The State has become a model and many States in the country were emulating Telangana.
Telangana is the only State where 24 hour free power was being supplied to agricultural needs and offering Rs 10, 000 input support to farmers besides Rythu Bima to help families of farmers in case of their accidental death, he noted.
Nageswara Rao urged the party workers to strive hard for strengthening the party at grassroots level. He asked the cadres to turn up in large numbers for ‘Telangana Vijaya Garjana’ , a public meeting to be held in Warangal on November 15 and make it a grand success.
MLA, L Ramulu Naik, TS Markfed Vice Chairman B Rajashekar, Municipal Chairman S Jaipal, TRS senior leader M Baby Swarnakumari, Rythu Bandhu Samithi convener, N Venkateshwar Rao and others were present.
