Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy accused that the TRS and the BJP were two sides of a same coin and were deceiving people, especially the farming community.

Citing the Central Government’s orders on paddy procurement, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was trying to wash his hands off in ensuring farmers’ welfare, he said at a press conference here on Sunday.

“People are aware of the political stunts of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They will teach a fitting lesson to both the leaders,” said Revanth Reddy.

The Chief Minister was boasting about Raichur BJP MLA Shivaraj Patil’s appeal to merge the district with Telangana. On the contrary, the Chief Minister was ignoring Telangana people’s welfare and development, he charged.

Finding fault with the Chief Minister’s decision not to slash the Value Added Tax (VAT) imposed on petrol and diesel by State Government, he asked “When Punjab Government can roll back VAT, why can’t Telangana Government follow suit.”

Making light of TRS party’s proposed protests and agitation against the Central Government over escalating fuel prices and paddy procurement, he said the party leaders were known for enacting dramas.
