Hyderabad: Leaders and activists of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) are gearing up to celebrate the birthday of party president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday on a massive scale. As per the directions of TRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao, they have already started the three-day celebrations distributing fruits and food apart from taking part in blood donation camps, among others.
Several leaders including Ministers, Parliament members and legislators have already made arrangements for cake-cutting ceremonies, special pujas, homams and interfaith prayers, distribution of sarees, fruits and also food, among others.
In the celebrations scheduled to be organised by Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav at Telangana Bhavan, a documentary on Chandrashekhar Rao in Hindi will be released amid his plans to take on the BJP at the Centre. Srinivas Yadav along with MLC K Kavitha will present gold ornaments to Goddess Yellamma at Balkampet temple. Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali and several others will offer ‘chadder’ at Nampally dargah, while others will offer prayers at Gurduwara in Ameerpet as well as at churches in Secunderabad area.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao and others participated in blood donation camps and donated blood at several places across the State on Tuesday. Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud organised sports tournaments in Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar and other parts of the State. Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and several others will be participating in the birthday celebrations in their respective districts on Thursday. A large number of the party leaders will be extending financial support for noble causes under ‘Gift A Smile’ programme to help the needy.
On Wednesday, the TRS leaders went all out to express their love, respect and affection towards their party President. Several TRS workers put up flexi and digital posters of the Chief Minister in New Delhi, Gujarat, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and several other places, greeting him on the occasion of his birthday. TRS leaders like MLA Danam Nagender and Vanga Maheshwar Reddy, arranged for sand sculptures of the Chief Minister describing his achievements in the last seven years.
Further, the TRS NRI wing led by Mahesh Bigala held the celebrations in different countries across the world. Terming Chandrashekhar Rao as a visionary, several NRIs from the State had planted saplings, cut the cake and also donated blood.
