Hyderabad: The State leadership of both the Congress and BJP came under fire on Monday from TRS leaders for indulging in low grade and opportunistic politics in the State.
While TPCC president A Revanth Reddy was scheduled to hold a ‘Rachabanda’ at Erravalli under Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s Gajwel Assembly constituency on paddy procurement issue, BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar held a ‘Deeksha’ in the party office on ‘unemployment’ issue.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao, in a tweet on Monday, wondered why BJP government failed to fill 8.72 lakh Central government jobs, while Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy castigated both parties for targeting the TRS government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao when they should actually be fighting for the farmers of the State in New Delhi and prove their commitment to Telangana.
The opposition drama took a curious turn when Congress working president and MLA T Jagga Reddy, taking serious exception to Revanth Reddy’s style of functioning, sought a change of guard in the Telangana unit of the party.
