Hyderabad: Alleging that TRS Ministers and MPs visit to New Delhi was a drama, BJP MLA M Raghunandan Rao on Wednesday said the ruling party was unnecessarily delaying the procurement of paddy and causing problems to farmers.
He requested Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to immediately call back the delegation and send them to procurement centres to expedite the procurement process.
Interacting with media persons in New Delhi, he sought to know as to why the Chief Minister failed to supply urea free to farmers. He accused the TRS of unnecessarily making visits to New Delhi and staging protests instead of completing paddy procurement process.
When his attention was drawn towards the written agreement demanded by the delegation for procuring paddy, Rao said, “How can the Ministers expect a written agreement from the Ministry? Did the Centre give similar written agreements to other States?” he asked..
