Rajagopal Reddy had lost his sense of balance since he was unable to digest the increasing popularity of the TRS government in the constituency, said TRS leader Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy Rajagopal Reddy had lost his sense of balance since he was unable to digest the increasing popularity of the TRS government in the constituency, said TRS leader Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy

Yadadri-Bhongir: Former Munugode MLA and TRS leader Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy on Tuesday said Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was making false allegations against the State government for his political survival.

Speaking at a media conference at Choutuppal, Prabhakar Reddy said the State government took up Shivannagudem reservoir at a cost of Rs 2,000 crores during his tenure as MLA of Munugode. “The people of Munugode are happy with the development taking place in their area. The State government also succeeded in liberating the people of Munugode from the clutches of fluoride menace which crippled the lives of thousands in the constituency,” he said, adding that Rajagopal Reddy had lost his sense of balance since he was unable to digest the increasing popularity of the TRS government in the constituency.

Stating that Rajagopal Reddy was trying to create hurdles in the development of the Assembly constituency with his acts, he said that the former, as MLA of Munugode, was unavailable to the people of the constituency during the Covid pandemic. The elected representative should be available to the people in times of trouble help the needy people, he added.

Recalling that Rajagopal Reddy had tried to grab the mike from Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy at an official programme at Choutuppal, he demanded that the Congress MLA render an apology to the Minister for his act. Rajagopal Reddy doesn’t have the culture of respecting other elected representatives and also the people, he added.

Police file cases against Komatireddy

Choutuppal police on Tuesday filed cases against Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and his followers under sections IPC 183, 353 and 427 for creating disturbance at an official programme.

Based on a complaint lodged by Choutuppal Tahsildhar Girdhar, the police filed cases against the Congress MLA and his followers.

Rajagopal Reddy and his followers created a ruckus at a new ration cards distribution programme held in SMR function hall at Lakkaram on the outskirts of Choutuppal. Rajagopal Reddy used objectionable language against Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, who attended the programme as chief guest, and tried top forcibly grab the mike from his hands.
