Hyderabad: TRS legislators slammed State BJP leaders for their failure in contributing to the growth of Telangana State, and instead indulging in mudslinging against the TRS government to cover up for their failures in their official capacities as well as their government at the Centre in contributing to the State development.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan here on Friday, Government Whip and Achampeta MLA Balaraju said the BJP had done nothing for the State. He said though the BJP leaders are dreaming of coming to power in 2023 elections in the State, but predicted that it will not be possible even in 2048. He alleged that BJP State president and MP Bandi Sanjay forgot that he is a Parliament member and is screaming like a mad dog. He ridiculed the BJP leaders statements on women safety in the State when the BJP leaders themselves are involved in gang rapes in BJP-ruled States like Uttar Pradesh.

“As the BJP-led government at the Centre failed to implement its promises to the nation, the BJP State leaders are trying to blame the State government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cheated people of the country and did not implement his promise of one crore jobs per year. Instead, the BJP leaders are trying to incite people in the name of caste and religion for their divisive politics,” he accused.

Government Whip MS Prabhakar stated that Bandi Sanjay had lost his mind and was talking ridiculously without reading the GHMC Act. He said the GHMC Council meeting will be convened as per the norms and the term of the existing Council is yet to end. He took strong objection to the language being used by the BJP leaders to criticise the State government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He said the TRS leaders were being patient due to instructions from the Chief Minister and cautioned that if over 60 lakh TRS members react, the BJP leaders should think twice about their fate before making statements to burn the State.

TRS MLC Shambipur Raju demanded to know where the BJP leaders especially Bandi Sanjay Kumar and D Arvind were when floods hit Hyderabad and Warangal cities. He dared Sanjay to get additional funds from the Centre for Karimnagar to prove his commitment to people of the State, rather than resorting to divisive politics. He questioned the BJP leaders to show a single BJP-ruled State which was implementing welfare measures like uninterrupted quality power supply to agriculture, Kalyana Lakshmi or KCR Kits. He warned the BJP leaders not to take the patience of TRS cadre to that of their incompetency. Former MLC Ravinder also stated that the BJP was trying to create disturbances in the State in the name of caste and religion.
