TRS Ministers up the ante for MLC polls
Ministers have not only upped ante against the Oppn parties over their false propaganda, but also reaching out to each graduate voter to explain about the commitment of TS govt to their welfare
Hyderabad: The ruling TRS has intensified its poll campaigning for the MLC elections to the Graduates constituencies of Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda.
The Ministers and other elected representatives have not only upped the ante against the Opposition parties over their false propaganda, but also reaching out to each graduate voter to explain about the commitment of the State government to their welfare and development.
Ministers T Harish Rao, Gangula Kamalakar, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, S Niranjan Reddy, V Srinivas Goud, Satyavathi Rathod, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, G Jagadish Reddy, Puvvada Ajay Kumar and several others are extensively touring the MLC constituencies, to consolidate the votes for the TRS candidates Surabhi Vani Devi and Palla Rajeshwar Reddy.
TRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao too is spearheading the poll campaign and has taken the responsibility of coordinating between the party leaders, besides launching blistering attacks on the Opposition on every available platform.
On Friday, Finance Minister T Harish Rao who addressed nearly half-a-dozen different meetings urged the graduate voters to cast their vote for TRS candidates considering the vast service done by Surabhi Vani Devi as an academician and an educationist. He said vote for sitting MLC and BJP candidate N Ramchander Rao will be of no use as he had no interest in the MLC seat.
He pointed out that after getting elected as MLC earlier, Ramchander Rao had contested to the Assembly in 2018 as well as the Lok Sabha in 2019 and there was no guarantee that he will not quit the post again if there were other elections. He stated that the BJP candidate had remained inaccessible for his graduate constituents after the election.
The Minister asked the BJP leaders to give one good reason for the people to vote for Ramchander Rao. “Why should people vote for BJP – for increasing petrol and diesel prices, increasing Rs 225 on LPG cylinder prices, for not fulfilling the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, or for denying railway coach factory?” asked Harish Rao.
He asked the graduate voters to elect Vani Devi and added that the TRS MPs would fight against Centre and stop the efforts of the Centre to privatise the public sector companies. He stated that people were not even ready to accept the candidature of the Congress leaders.
