TRS retains 18th ward in Bodhan Municipality

Nizamabad: TRS candidate Karolla Gangaram emerged victorious in the by-election to Bodhan Municipality 18th ward, defeating the Congress party’s Pramod with a majority of 175 votes.

The by-election was necessitated following the death of TRS councilor Guna Prasad due to the Covid-19.


TRS candidate Karolla Gangaram obtained 510 votes out of 1,198 polled while his Congresss rival obtained 335 votes. MIM candidate Madari Padma secured 221 votes while BJP candidate Pedda Lalaiah obtained 132 votes.

TRS activists celebrated their party’s victory by distributing sweets. TRS candidate Karolla Gangaram expressed happiness over the victory and thanked Bodhan MLA Shakeel and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for their support.
