Hyderabad: The TRS has expedited efforts to establish the party committees at all levels from village to the State. The ruling party has already formed about 80 per cent of the village and municipal ward committees, while the remaining 20 per cent of them, will be ready within next two days.
TRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao held a meeting with the party general secretaries on Monday and reviewed the progress of constituting the party committees as well as other party activities over the last few weeks. The party Secretary General K Keshava Rao also participated in the meeting.
On the occasion, the TRS working president directed the party general secretaries to complete the formation of all the village and municipal ward committees by September 15 and the mandal committees by September 20.
TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will announce the district presidents of the party, following which the district committees will be formed. Rama Rao said the district committees would be formed after taking into account the views of Ministers, elected representatives and senior party leaders within the district.
The TRS working president also obtained feedback from the party cadre on the party’s organisational activities and the general secretaries informed that all the elected representatives as well as senior leaders were actively participating in the TRS party activities. They said due to constitution of party committees and other activities, there was a fresh energy and enthusiasm among the party cadre.
As per the directions of the TRS President, the weaker sections were accommodated in the party committees beyond the 51 per cent quota fixed by the party. KT Rama Rao suggested that the general secretaries should take special initiative and give priority to active women leaders in the composition of party committees. He will hold another review meeting on the party activities within another one week.
