TRS wins Achampet, Jadcherla municipalities
Since the beginning of counting of votes on Monday, the TRS surged ahead in most wards in both municipalities
Hyderabad: The ruling TRS won both Achampet and Jadcherla municipalities in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, emerging victorious in 36 of the total 47 wards in the two municipalities.
In the 20 wards in Achampet municipality, the ruling TRS party won 13, Congress six and BJP just one ward.
In Jadcherla municipality, of the 27 wards, the TRS party won 23 wards while the Congress and BJP won two wards each.
Since the beginning of counting of votes on Monday, the TRS surged ahead in most wards. The TRS candidates were handed over the certificates of election by the respective Returning Officers in the two municipalities.
