Hyderabad: The Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) on Friday urged the State government to initiate vigilance inspections against certain private institutions and coaching centres allegedly operating without mandatory permissions and recognition in Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, and Rangareddy districts.

In a representation submitted to School Education director Dr. E Naveen Nicolas, TRSMA president S Madhusudhan and general secretary N Ramesh Rao expressed serious concerns over some institutions conducting scholarship and admission tests, and making admissions without obtaining recognition from the competent authorities as per rules.

The TRSMA raised objections to some schools granting admission proper documentation, including Transfer Certificates and statutory records and violation of norms in fee collection and academic operations.

The association cautioned that students admitted in unauthorized institutions may face difficulties in obtaining APAAR and PEN numbers, which are essential for academic records, higher education, and government employment.

Madhusudhan urged the government to constitute a vigilance team to conduct inspections and verify recognition status. He wanted strict action, including initiation of criminal proceedings, wherever violations are found.
