Truck driver burnt to death after vehicle lost control in Medchal

As per available information, the incident occurred around 2 am, when the truck carrying garbage while proceeding from Miyapur towards Bandlaguda via ORR lost control and fell off the ORR.

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a man was burnt to death allegedly after a truck lost control and fell off the outer ring road bridge at Gowda village in Medchal on the city outskirts on Wednesday morning.

As per available information, the incident occurred around 2 am, when the truck carrying garbage while proceeding from Miyapur towards Bandlaguda via ORR lost control and fell off the ORR.


According to the police, on reaching Gowda village, the truck driver identified as Sandeep (27), who was driving at quite speed lost control of the steering wheel resulting in the mishap.

Due to the impact, the truck caught fire and in the incident and Sandeep, who got trapped in the driver’s cabin was burnt to death.

On being alerted by other motorists, the Medchal police visited the spot and took up investigation. The body was shifted to the hospital for autopsy and the truck was removed from the road.
